Fasting not only brings me closer to God,
but it always brings me inside myself. Today I recognize that the harm that
others can do to me is limited because I am protected by God’s divine purpose. As
much as I sometimes like to adjust to this world system, I was not
made to fit into the world. I was born to stand out. (Rom 12:2)
